The companies behind Vanquish
Vanquish Asset Management is the new name for Hencilla Canworth Limited. Established in 1981, our heritage spans five decades, including 25 years as the trusted home and administrator of the Creative Arts Pension Scheme, encompassing the Equity Pension Scheme (EPS) and Musicians’ Union Pension Scheme (MUPS).
In 2025 we became part owned by investment research provider Vanquish Analytics, with veteran industry innovator Julian Penniston-Hill joining as Chief Investment Officer to lead the strategic development of the UK's newest and most comprehensive managed investment proposition.

Discretionary Portfolio Management
Sentinel Portfolio Management is the Financial Conduct Authority authorised and regulated discretionary manager of the Vanquish Portfolios. Launched in 2020 it aims to challenge preconceptions in the investment management marketplace.
With a team that can trace its professional roots back to the 1990s, its philosophy is that risk, not traditional equity/bond asset allocation, drives investment returns and therefore employs a 'fluid' asset allocation approach, preferring to manage portfolios by volatility to generate goal based outcomes.
Platform & Custody
WealthKernel is the Financial Conduct Authority authorised and regulated custodian of the Vanquish platform, trustee and administrator of the Vanquish SIPP and plan manager of the Vanquish ISA.
As an ISO 27001-certified company providing the technology behind our platform, WealthKernel is committed to best practices in safeguarding client data and security, taking a proactive approach to managing information and exceeding industry risk management and compliance standards.
Research & Analysis
Vanquish Analytics is a shareholder of Vanquish Asset Management and the independent provider of stock market and asset allocation research and analysis to the Vanquish portfolio range.
Originally founded as a private Family Office, it now provides strategic market insight to Sentinel, supporting its own internal decision making and contributing to the oversight of the portfolios through its independent governance role on the investment committee.
