Active stock management focusses on specific sectors and themes with a view to outperforming markets as a whole.

The advantage of this approach is that the right selection can yield significantly higher returns than simply tracking markets. The disadvantage is that selecting the wrong themes or sectors can just as easily hold you back.

Fully managed portfolios work on exactly the same basis as the multi-managed ones above, but now also manage the risk/reward levels for you.

This is achieved through target dating, the process whereby you set timelines for life goals (school fees, mortgage repayment, retirement, etc.) and we map out the optimum risk/reward levels for each stage, automatically adjusting your portfolio to these, in line with prevailing market conditions.
